How is SVQ Level 2 Assessed?

SVQ Level 2 Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 6, sometimes referred to as “SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care”; is assessed through real work experience. There is no final exam.

Your assessor may ask you to write about you care experience, observe you carrying out normal work activities, and discuss your professional practice with you .

Your practice is to demonstrate what you did, how you did it, why you acted that way and the difference your actions made.

Your assessor then reviews this evidence against the qualification requirements and National Occupational Standards providing feedback on what has been demonstrated and what may still be needed.

Over time, different pieces of evidence build a wider picture of your competence across the qualification.
